I spent 10 hours in the car yesterday, almost straight. It took me abnormally long to drive from Jacksonville to Charleston (really Isle of Palms) for an interview with Island Realty as a Vacation Planner. The interview went amazingly well. The woman who interviewed me, Kristin, reminded me of my former roommate, Alex, whom I miss everyday. Kristin spoke "Annabel"-- we talked about yoga, positive energy in the workplace, and our mutual adoration of Charleston and its surrounding boroughs. Kristin told me I was an ideal candidate, she thought my previous experience was great and relevant, to start looking at apartments, and that she would be calling me later in the week on Thursday. [Insert gleeful noises here].
Leaving Isle of Palms I received a phone call from AstenJohnson. I had left the HR Representative I had been working with, Connie, a voicemail earlier to ascertain the status of the position. I had also wanted to make sure the three women who had interviewed me had received my thank-you note. Connie told me they would be giving me a call to let me know their decision on Friday.
Funny enough, my replacement at my previous job texted me last night letting me know my old boss wanted me back at Carolina Catering. All in all it was a great day for the employment search!
Next Monday my friend, Lauren, and I will be viewing apartments in Charleston. Looks as though things are coming together... :-)
